2004 Awardees
This year’s Awards went to a senior scholar whose groundbreaking research and skill as an editor helped establish the Bowlby-Ainsworth tradition and exemplified the standards of scholarship, collegiality and service that John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth shared, taught, and valued.
We also recognize three scholars whose work illustrates the continuing value of the ethological/ observational methods that John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth considered the cornerstone of attachment study. Finally, a Special Award to recognize loyalty, service, and friendship over an entire career.
